"Run far away from this agency. Arlene McHale has been handling my mother in laws life insurance policy for years….A few years ago there was an “error” and we were told her policy that had been paid for over 20 years had lapsed…we were able to obtain a new policy with a much higher premium….recently she was moved into a nursing home so we attempted to reduce her policy so the expense would be less of a financial burden. For the last 10 months we have completed paperwork and been getting the run around from Arlene McHale who told us the new policy had been to the underwriters and the new premium would kick in…..for the last 10 months State Farm continued to automatically withdraw the same amount from her account and never put the new policy in place….we have made numerous phone calls, taken time to go into the office to sign “ lost” or “misplaced” paperwork. Arlene blames mistakes made by her on other departments and refuses to accept responsibility for her own incompetence. She has basically been robbing an elderly woman on a fixed income for the last 10 months while stringing us along telling us the policy change should take effect soon. Do not let this woman take advantage of your loved one as well. And if you are already working with her, review your policy and make sure she has submitted the correct paperwork so you don’t find yourself uninsured with her placing blame anywhere other than herself."

"Regarding your response to my review: First of all, your condescending “my dear” comment speaks to your office and your unprofessional attitude, no surprise there! Second, your response clearly shows you have no clue what’s going on in your office that you are never present at. I didn’t cancel any coverage! I asked your agent to ADD coverage which he FAILED to do and then you and him blatantly LIED to cover up your inability to run an insurance business. The worst, unprofessional, unskilled, lazy team in insurance business! I have met such unprofessional people. You should be ashamed of yourself and the way you conduct yourself! Your comment is going to the complaint file because you are clearly contradicting your lies! Shameful! Do not become a customer of this office. Condescending attitudes. When they don’t want to deal with issues they just ignore you. You can call, email, leave messages, they will not return your call. Fail to do what’s asked on your policy and then claim they don’t remember. Shame on you!"

"I am writing this review because I want people to be careful if they are thinking of dealing with this office. My parents were with Arlene McHale insurance for many, many years. Had their auto and homeowners insurance there. I had to step in this past year on their behalf, as my parents were elderly, (and then my Father passed away in May). I am not someone who usually writes reviews, but want people to know - don’t expect this office to help you out when you have a claim. I can’t tell you how many times I called and stopped in, provided the paperwork they asked for to get the claim taken care of, they would say they’d take care of it, but never did. I have finally given up on my Mom ever getting her money. It isn’t even really about the money, it’s more about the way they just didn’t do their jobs. I never was able to speak to Arlene, which leads me to believe she just didn’t care! Your response is what I would expect, - if you cared and even bothered to check, you would know that I am not dissatisfied with the claim, two different gentleman from your office acknowledged what my Mother was due to get, they acknowledged that a mistake was made with State Farm, and repeatedly said they would get it resolved. So please don’t act like you know what you are talking about!"

"I am a raving fan of David Johnson with Arlene McHale Insurance! He went above and beyond to help us get quick changes made to a policy for our mutual clients! I cannot thank him enough for taking the time out of his day to help make sure all was corrected on our evidence of insurance! Most definitely will recommend him in the future."

"Very happy with this branch of State Farm! Everyone is very nice, professional and understanding and never hesitate to make things right if there is an issue. Dave is the BEST! "If I could I would give them 1/2 a star!!! They added coverage to my policy without tell me or even discussing it with me!!! I love State Farm as an insurance company just not this agent or staff."

"We had renters and auto ins through this office with no real issues. When we were going through all the hoops for actually buying a home (119 years old and beautiful) they had no problem writing up a policy. Once we closed on the house, they contacted us telling us of all the things that had to be done to the home in order to complete the policy! Really,? This should have been done prior to close because all of that was on the seller! Now we have a letter stating they cannot insure the property because of these maintenance issues?! Great job! Find other insurance if you can! 🤬 AND judging by the replies to the other two comments, they really are uncaring too!"

"Unfriendly staff & horrible customer service! I've had a State Farm policy for a few years now for two vehicles and homeowner insurance. Considering this is 2019, I've been paying all my bills through the State Farm app where I recieve all my alerts and statements anyway. Apparently a payment was missed in March which I was not aware of and was not listed in the app. I continued making my payments after this with no knowledge of the missed payment. I soon received a letter from PennDot telling me my reg is suspended for an insurance lapse. States Farms response was, you should've checked your mail box. Shop around, plenty of cheaper, friendler options out there!"
